The joint that gets everyone round the table. Our Dorset Downs are raised on the grass here in Sturminster Newton, and it shows in a leg that’s sweet and close grained, with real lamb flavour that never tips into strong. Roast it pink on the bone for Sunday lunch, and there’ll be enough left for cold cuts on Monday and a shepherd’s pie midweek. We only have a handful from each batch, because we only have a handful of lambs.
